2 For one Poems!

Hello! To make up for my many weeks of neglect...πŸ™ˆ Here are two poems!

Pitter Patter:

Pitter patter, pitter patter,

Rain drops falling to the ground.

Pitter patter, pitter patter,

Making such a calming sound.

Pitter patter, pitter patter,

As the clouds sob through the night.

Pitter patter, pitter patter,

Blocking out all sunlight.

Pitter patter, pitter patter,

The only comfort to the people alone.

Pitter patter, pitter patter,

Where has all the sunshine gone?

Pitter patter, pitter patter,

Am I not like the clouds as they cry?

Pitter patter, pitter patter,

For I too ask the Heavens why?

Pitter patter, pitter patter,

I join the clouds as they mourn the lost.

Pitter patter, pitter patter,

Why must happiness come at such a high cost?

The Lark

The lark sings in his tree,

What a glorious creation of Thee,

The sun shines through the leaves,

As a high note the bird achieves,

Its melody plays in my mind,

How I love songs of that kind.

But when the clouds block out the light,

And the dear bird fades from sight,

I miss his sweet melody,

I hear him yet him I cannot see.

When the sun returns into view,

I look outside to see you,

As you sing from the branches high,

Stretch out your wings and fly.
