Book review

Hello there! Hope you had a good week. Today I come to review the first book of three in the Renegades series.

Renegades by Marissa Meyer.

Blurb:

Nova is an Anarchist

a girl on a mission for vengeance after the heroes sworn to protect her and her family failed her.

Adrian is a Renegade

a boy with extraordinary abilities who believes in justice, and in Nova.

They should be sworn enemies, but Nova finds herself torn between Adrian and the Renegades, and a Villian that could destroy them both

Content warnings: Heavy Violence. LGBTQ+ inclusiveness. Mild romance.

This book was so much fun to read! I enjoyed it very much, it was fast paced, hard hitting, and full of twists and turns.

For Action: 10/10

For characters: 12/10

For unexpected twists: 20/10

For vivid descriptions: 10/10

For overall story: 52/40

I highly recommend this book.

Now I must confess, I will not be able to post as much from the 12th of June to July. I will still be posting once in a while, but not as often. Until July that is.

And now this post draws to a close. Have a wonderful week!

Fun Wednesday (Thursday) Poetry!

Hello! 24 hours late, but what's a little 24 hours? 😂 Due to technical difficulties I was unable to post yesterday, but I am here now! For today I hath decided to give thee a poem (not my own) from a new poetry book I am currently reading, Call Us What We Carry. I hope you enjoy!

Every day we are learning:

Amanda Gorman.

Every day we are learning

How to live with essence, not ease.

How to move with haste, never hate.

How to leave this pain that is beyond us

Behind us.

Just like a skill or any art,

We cannot possess hope without practicing it.

It is a most fundamental craft we demand of ourselves.

I hope you enjoyed! See you all on Sunday, for another fun post! Tis Thursday, so my thy enjoy thy last two weekdays. And have a wonderful weekend!

Something new!

Hello! I'm back! And with only one day to Crazy Editing Week ! I will be participating in this event and hope to see you there! Now without further a due, I give to you todays post!

Today I will be doing things a bit differently, instead of posting a story, or book review, poetry, or tips, I will be talking a bit about my Novella! So, it is not published yet, and it is currently undergoing many rounds of editing before actually sending it off to a publisher. But despite all this, I would like to share with you the story behind the story!

This is a story about a sixteen-year-old girl who grew up with wolves. She was raised by them in Americas very own Yellow Stone National Park. Until one day she is taken from her home and taken back to live with humans. Soon she adapts to normal life, until...

Nope, not going to spoil the rest 😆But for this little bit of the blurb shared, I will share a bit about why I wrote this story.

I was inspired by my own life, because when I was younger, we had a Husky, Husky crossed with a Wolf, and a Grey Wolf, as pets. Wolves were often miss-understood, seen as the villain or Antagonist of the stories. But haven't you heard all those stories about children growing up with wolves? Or how wolves are the closest relative to your domesticated dog?

So, I decided to write a story, about a girl, and her wolf family. To help people see wolves through a different perspective, not as the Antagonists, but the heroes. In this story I also included some Christian themes, making this an inspirational, faith based, story.

Now this specific story isn't based off of a real girl, and this is a completely fictitious book. But it doesn't have to be real, to make a difference.

So, I hope that when this story is sent and accepted by a publisher, that you will all give it a read. 😉

Also, I am currently read a great book, Renegades by Marissa Meyer. It is the first of two books in the series, and next week I will be reviewing this book.

Now my post comes to a close, I hope to see you all back here on Wednesday, for an exclusive post where you can get the inside scoop about Crazy Editing Week. Have a wonderful week!

A late Book review and recommendation!

Well... It is no longer sunday, so this is a late post. 😂 But I didn't forget, so heeeeerrrreeee we are!!!

Hello! How are you? Welcome back! Well, you know the drill, it's time for a Sunday special! Recently I had the pleasure of reading a magnificent book! And it was written by a Young Writer! Her name is Anna Rose Johnson, and she is a student of The Young Writers Workshop, and The Authors Conservatory! These two writing workshops were created for Young Christian Writers looking for guidance into the world of an Author.

You can find their Website Here

They are also the hosts of Crazy Editing Week! Find out more about that by clicking the link! 😉

The story that I read was the second ever novel written by Anna Rose Johnson you can find more about her here

The Luminous Life Of Lucy Landry By Ana Rose Johnson:

This was such a fun book to read! The story follows a twelve year old orphaned girl. Who goes to live with a family, who are light house keepers. Where she learns how hard it is for lighthouse keeper's children, and how to be a good girl. Until she learns that the necklace her father has been telling her about since forever, is located on the other side of the Lake.

This book, like her others, was a completely family friendly book. It was full of humor, adventure, bravery, and Faith. It is beautifully written, and so easy to imagine!

For the story telling I give 7/5
For the content I give 8/5
For the creativity I give 8/5
Overall I rate this book 100/100!!!

Highly recomended! Do go check it out!

Well, this is the end, my friend. no rhyme intended I look forward to my next post! Have a nice day!
